“ This is a charming wee Italian restaurant downstairs. It was packed when we arrived and packed when we left. They are the masters of the quick turnaround if you are having a pre theatre meal. We had minestrone to start with, the bread was divine. Then we had spaghetti carbonara and tagliatelle bolognese. Both very tasty. Affogato and tiramisu for puds which were also delicious. The decor of the place was delightful as well. Staff were extremely efficient and friendly. It is pretty snug tho, tables are pretty close together but I wouldn't let that put you off. Literally across the road from the King's Theatre, so ideal for pre or post theatre dinner. Very reasonably priced as well. ”
“ Sannios was absolutely delightful. My husband and I came for dinner while we were in the area and couldn't fault it at all. The decor is gorgeous, the food was delicious albeit very filling, we couldn't finish our main meals and the service was great. I didn't catch the lady's name but she lovely and always had a smile on her face. My cocktails were fab, one of the best espresso martinis I've had in a very long time. I also got the cocktail of the month which was a Spicy Margarita, not something I usually get but was nice to try something different. Thank you to the team at Sannios. ”
“ I hosted an event at the restaurant for a group of 18 guests in June. I could not recommend this restaurant enough, the team were incredibly helpful in the planning stages and the food and atmosphere on the night was fantastic. The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure that all our guests had a good experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sannio for events, or a lovely meal - I will be back. ”
“ Last minute booking for valentine's dinner. I and my bf really enjoyed our wee experience in this very cute and lovely decorated restaurant. The staff were very attentive - girl with orange/ginger hair took our order and and made our experience really easy and enjoyable. She was really well knowledgeable when it comes to dietary requirements which made the experience even easier. I am vegetarian and my bf vegan and I forgot to mention that I'm vegetarian and they made my dish vegan too (without the cream sauce) however as soon as i mentioned that my pasta didn't have cream the manager offer very fast to fix this and he came very fast with a freshly prepared pasta. I felt very bad because it was my fault to not mention to our lovely waitress but they were all so nice. My bf had a vegan pizza and I had pasta and asharing focaccia. I really wish we had some space for dessert but I was far too full. Took the leftover for take away and had it for lunch today. Also a curly hair lady gave all the tables a rose each which was a lovely detail. Thank you very much for making our night special. ”
“ Pretty restaurant, great food (beautifully presented), big portion sizes and lovely service. ”
“ Lovely meal here before going to the theatre. Food was delicious and staff were so friendly and attentive! Would highly recommend. ”
“ We ended up here by chance after previous dinner plans fell through. Super easy to get to as within only a few minutes walking distance from Charring Cross, and across the road from The King's Theatre. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we were seated quickly (we didn't have a booking although we were early enough to skip the rush that came later as we were leaving, I'd definitely suggest booking!). The food was delicious. Lots of choice on the menu, and the Minestrone Soup was beautiful. If I was asked to critique something, and this is really just being pernickety and didn't pose much of an issue - the tables are a little bit of a squeeze for space if you're having a pizza. But that's being really nitpicky, as otherwise the booth was comfortable and even busy, the place didn't feel cramped. ”
“ Great wee place. First time there was looking for restaurant handy for Kings Theatre. Lovely atmosphere, small place but loads of character. Food was lovely as was service definitely will be back . ”
